The school is keenly aware of the importance of good liaison, understanding and co-operation between home and school. Parents’ support with reading and homework is valued at all levels throughout the school.
We welcome parents, and grandparents, who would like to help in school, or with transport for sports or other visits. We are very grateful for the high level of support we receive. Parents often have specific skills or knowledge to share with the children. It does not matter if you cannot help on a regular basis - all help is very gratefully received. Volunteers are required to complete a CRB (Police) check and provide one reference. Please find our Volunteers in School Policy on the policy page of the website.
We encourage parents to discuss any concerns with their children’s teachers and appointments can be made before or after school. If there are lengthier matters to discuss, parents are welcome to see the teacher after school, or to make an appointment with the Headteacher as appropriate. Important messages, particularly concerning something that may affect your child during the school day, may, of course, be given to the school office before school.
