Year 4 Class Trip to Neasden Temple

Dear Parents & Carers of Year 4 Children,

YEAR 4 CLASS VISIT - MONDAY 24TH NOVEMBER 2025

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (Neasden Temple)

We are very excited to tell you about an upcoming class visit to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir - more commonly known as Neasden Temple. The trip is taking place on Monday 24th November. The incredibly beautiful temple is a multi-purpose Temple for Hinduism and Indian culture. It fits into our learning this term of harmony in religions around the world and will be an experience that I know all will live in all for a long time to come!

We will be travelling by coach, leaving shortly after registration and returning before the end of the regular school day, traffic permitting!

Children will need to bring a healthy packed lunch please and water to drink (no nuts sweets or chocolate!)  You  may order a school packed lunch for your child if you prefer, and to do this please email admin@priorswood.herts.sch.uk by Wednesday 19th November to let us know if they would like the red (ham) or green (cheese) option.

Children should wear school uniform for the visit and should bring a coat.

The voluntary cost of the visit is £19.40 per child.  We are very aware, especially in the build up to Christmas, that finding the money to pay for a trip might be challenging. Therefore, you are able to pay in instalments through Arbor and we hope that the advanced notice of the trip will help with this.  Please give consent on Arbor under trips and pay the first instalment by Friday 7th November, and please pay the second instalment by Wednesday 19th November at the latest.

As with any trip, we are also in the need of volunteers to accompany us. As it stands, I would like to ask for 3 parent/carer volunteers. Again, please let the office know if you are available to accompany us on the trip.

Many thanks for your ongoing support,

Mr Frecknall
