Year 3 Class Visit to Pizza Express, Hertford

Dear Parents & Carers of Year 3 Children,

THURSDAY 12th FEBRUARY - YEAR 3 CLASS VISIT TO PIZZA EXPRESS

To link in with our History topic of The Romans, we have arranged for Year 3 to visit Pizza Express in Hertford on Thursday 12th February.  On that day children should arrive at school at 8.20am prompt as we will leave school to walk to the bus stop to catch the 8:48am 323 bus to Hertford. (When arriving please use the gate leading to the office).

 

We will be walking from Hertford Bus Station to Pizza Express to take part in a pizza making workshop, learning more about how pizzas are made in Italy. We will catch the bus back to school, returning to school for lunchtime and an afternoon back in class. 

 

The children will be able to bring their pizza back to school to have as their lunch on this day.  However, if your child would prefer not to eat their pizza, please provide them with a home packed lunch to eat instead.  There will be no option to have a hot school dinner that day as the children will either have their Pizza Express pizza or their packed lunch, however if your child is entitled to benefit related free school meals then you may book a school packed lunch as an alternative.

 

On the day children should wear school uniform and will need a coat (preferably waterproof), a named water bottle and wear shoes suitable for walking. They will be given a Priors Wood hat to wear for ease of identification.

 

Although there is no cost for the trip, we do need consent for children to take part so please do this on Arbor under trips by Monday 2nd February at the very latest:  If any of the following information also applies to your child please also email admin@priorswood.herts.sh.uk by 2nd February with the details:

  • Confirm if your child is entitled to benefit related free school meals and would like a school packed lunch.
  • Confirm if your child has any medically confirmed food allergies (if so please state what.)
  • Confirm if your child has a medical condition and would need to take medication with them (if so please state) please note this only applies to medication already held in school.
