Year 2 Class Visit to Hertfordshire Zoo
Dear Parents & Carers of Year 2,
Year 2 Class Trip to Hertfordshire Zoo Monday 23rd March 2026
To link with our recent class topic of Sensational Safari, we have arranged for Year 2 to visit Hertfordshire Zoo on Monday 23rd March.
The children will be travelling by coach and will need to wear their school uniform, comfortable walking shoes and bring a coat in case of showers. They will be provided with a Priors Wood hat to wear for the day for ease of identification. We will leave school shortly after registration in the morning and will be arriving back at Priors Wood for the usual end of the school day.
Children should bring a packed lunch with them and plenty of water to drink, but no nuts, sweets or chocolate should be in the packed lunch. Children should bring a small rucksack to be able to carry their lunch and drinks with them. If you would like to order a school packed lunch Hertfordshire Catering are able to provide one, so if you would like to order this please do so by emailing admin@priorswood.herts.sch.uk by Wednesday 18th March, stating if your child would like red (ham) or green (cheese).
The voluntary cost of this trip is £24.70 per child, which includes coach hire, admission and personal insurance. Please give consent on Arbor under trips by Wednesday 18th March. If you would like to spread the cost please contact the school office in confidence and we can arrange a payment plan for you. Please note that if we do not receive enough voluntary contributions the trip may not go ahead.
