Christmas Lunch & Christmas Jumper Day

CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY – WEDNESDAY 11TH DECEMBER
As detailed in our previous email, Christmas lunch this year will be on Wednesday 11th December and we have decided to combine this with Christmas Jumper Day. On this day children may come into school wearing a Christmas jumper/top, or something in a Christmas colour, if they would like to. The bottom half should be school uniform as usual. We are not asking for donations on this occasion, just that the children come in wearing a festive top, if they would like to, and enjoy the day!
CHRISTMAS JUMPER SWAP
We know that Christmas is an expensive time of year for families and buying things like Christmas jumpers which are out grown so quickly, can be an added expense. We would like to ease the pressure in a small way so we are proposing a Christmas jumper swap.
Every day, from this Wednesday 27th November, we will be offering a Christmas jumper swap. If you have an outgrown Christmas jumper that your child no longer wears and you are happy to donate it, please just pop it in the boxes provided in the playground - there will be a box for EYFS, one for KS1 and one for KS2. You are welcome to help yourself to another jumper from the box, and even if you don’t have one to “swap” you are very welcome to take one for your child.

Our Christmas Dinner will be taking place on Wednesday 11th December this year and all children are invited to take part in this lovely festive event.
The Christmas lunch is free to those in Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 and is at a cost of £3.35 for those in KS2 who are not entitled to benefit related free school meals. Please make payment to your child’s meals account on Arbor if applicable. A separate letter will be sent to parents of Nursery children.
Red option – Chicken, chipolata sausage, stuffing, potatoes & seasonal vegetables. Ice cream or chocolate crispy cake.
Green option – Quorn fillet, stuffing, potatoes & seasonal vegetables. Ice cream or chocolate crispy cake.
Please note there will be no school packed lunch option on Christmas Dinner Day.
There is no need to pre-book Christmas lunch in advance, children should just book this with their class teacher on the day in the usual way. Please remember that there is no school packed lunch option that day, so if your child does not want the Christmas lunch please send in a packed lunch from home which they will eat all together with their friends.

Dear Parents & Carers of Nursery Children,
This year Christmas lunch will be taking place on Wednesday 11th December and we would like to invite the Nursery children to join the rest of the school for this lovely festive event. On this day those children who usually attend for just the morning session should be collected (from the nursery gate) at 12.45pm instead of 11.45am so that they can join in the festivities with the whole school. The children may order a school Christmas lunch, at a cost of £2.65 for Nursery children, or they may bring in a packed lunch from home which they will eat with their friends.
